Suitable for all wood-burning fireplaces. It is not recommended to mix with pellets, as pellets have a different combustion mode.

Usually too low combustion temperature or too moist fuel. Only start closing the smaller damper when the flame is hot and even.

Wood species, moisture and quality
What is the difference between birch and alder?
Birch is denser and provides more energy per square meter; alder ignites more easily and burns more softly. Both are suitable for use with a proper fireplace.
What is the moisture content?
The moisture content of firewood is up to 20%. Our firewood is naturally dried.
Calorific value and dimensions
What is the calorific value per square meter?
Birch: approx. 2.0–2.4 MWh/rm (at 18–20% moisture content)
Alder: approx. 1.7–2.1 MWh/rm (at 18–20% moisture content).
What is the moisture content?
The moisture content of firewood is up to 20%. Our firewood is naturally dried.
What is the calorific value per kilogram?
Birch: approx. 4.0–4.1 kWh/kg.
Alder: approx. 3.9–4.1 kWh/kg.
How much does 1 cubic meter weigh?
Birch: approx. 500–600 kg/rm.
Alder: approx. 430–520 kg/rm.
The actual weight depends on the length and stacking of the log.
How many 40 L bags are in one cubic meter?
Depends on the length and “airiness” of the bundle. Approximately 25–35 bags/rm.
What is the difference between rm, tm and m³?
• rm – cubic meter of stacked logs (with gaps).
• tm – cubic meter = 1 m³ of solid wood (without gaps).
• m³ loose – “bulk” measure, logs stacked loosely.
